High-quality metal structure products rely not only on factory precision fabrication, but also standardized on-site installation. Even perfectly manufactured steel components may lead to structural deformation, bolt loosening and hidden safety hazards if the installation operation is not standardized. Many overseas steel project disputes are caused by improper on-site assembly rather than factory production defects.
Pre-installation component inspection. Before hoisting, inspect all steel components for deformation, coating damage and dimension deviation. Verify that all high-strength bolts, gaskets and connecting accessories match the drawing requirements completely. Damaged anti-corrosion coating must be repaired before installation to avoid rust starting from scratched positions.
Foundation acceptance check. The foundation level, anchor bolt position error and foundation bearing capacity must be tested and recorded. Unqualified foundation will cause uneven settlement of the whole metal frame, leading to structural cracking in the long run.
Assembly and alignment control. During hoisting work, strictly control the verticality of steel columns and horizontal deviation of steel beams. Do not force assembly if components cannot fit smoothly. Forced assembly will bring permanent internal stress inside the metal structure, which will gradually release and deform the frame after operation.
Bolt construction control. High-strength bolts need to be tightened in the correct sequence step by step, instead of random one-time tightening. Workers need to record torque value for later quality inspection and project acceptance.
Final acceptance after installation. After all components are assembled, recheck all connection points, structure deflection and coating damage. Complete all inspection test documents for formal project handover.
