The manufacturing of liquid caustic soda storage tanks must strictly follow process specifications. Material certificates should be checked before cutting the plates, and curvature accuracy must be controlled during the forming process. Welding is a critical process; welders must be certified, and the welding process must be qualified. Welds undergo non-destructive testing, such as radiographic or ultrasonic testing, to ensure there are no cracks, lack of fusion, or other defects. After the tank is manufactured, a pressure test is performed. The test medium is usually water, and the test pressure is 1.5 times the design pressure. The tank is considered qualified if there are no leaks during the pressure holding period. During installation, the foundation should be flat and firm, and (gasket/pad) should be placed between the tank and the foundation to avoid localized stress. Flexible joints are used for pipe connections to reduce vibration transmission. After all installations are complete, system commissioning is performed to verify that all accessories function correctly.
