Sep 02, 2026 Zhongneng Huajian has successfully finished the construction and delivery of a 30,000 cubic meter vertical diesel storage tank project for CNOOC Zhanjiang. The whole project was completed within the scheduled 120-day construction period, marking another milestone for our company in large oil storage tank turnkey projects.
This project was built to meet the diesel storage demand of the CNOOC Zhanjiang oil depot. The construction environment belongs to coastal areas with high salt spray, which puts forward strict requirements on anti-corrosion technology. Short construction time was the main challenge for the project team. Our technical team carried out deep drawing optimization according to site conditions at the early stage. The production department arranged steel plate prefabrication in the factory to save on-site working hours.
During on-site erection, all welding work was supervised by certified inspectors. NDT non-destructive testing and hydrostatic pressure test were carried out strictly in accordance with relevant standards. The anti-corrosion coating system was specially customized to resist long-term salt spray erosion from marine climate. All indicators passed the acceptance inspection by the client.
